I have oogled over many dresses on
eShakti for the past few months. I received a discount coupon (the one you get when you sign up as a new customer) but my time ran out and the coupon expired. I must say, I was eager when I was contacted to do a review on one of their pieces. Originally, I wanted the slinky black tulle dress that I saw Sara (of
Return to Sender) reviewing on
Boutique Larrieux's Beauty Corner. But then, the longer I went through the pictures on the site, the more I was leaning towards something colorful. I'm not that girl that stays within a nuetral color palette...no sir! My car is electric lime, which totally fits my personality, so why not opt for a dress that does the same?
I do believe I was at my mother's house when I finally decided on a dress. We all agreed that the
Cotton Poplin Empire Line Dress in Canary Yellow (the only color they offered at the time) was perfect for me!
I chose to have the dress custom made, but according to Sara, the sizes run true. The only that bothered me about this dress is the the fact that it was a smidge too big on top and the straps kept falling off my shoulders. That more than likely is due to my error on sending in incorrect measurements. I used the same measurements from my last fitting with Chocolate Sushi Couture.

Other than that, I totally am in love with this dress! I love the empire waist and the fact that it has pockets. But, I have to say, what drew me to the dress was the awesome neckline. It's beautiful. I do believe once I take it to be altered a bit up top, it will fit like a dream. It was a little over 90 degrees that day and this dress was very light and airy. I loved the way the dress moved when I moved and I got several compliments that day on how "pretty" the dress was.
