With that said...
Let's catch up on what has been happening since we last spoke. Other than lusting over the Domino Dollhouse collection. I went to the doc right before I headed back to work and everything has gone back to normal. He prefers us to wait 3 cycles because the first one probably wouldn't be normal. *sigh* So sad that I'm a very impatient girl. Last week, I got a call from Dr. Mainor, the ob/gyn who admitted me to the hospital. I actually missed the call but I was greeted with a voicemail directing me to go get some bloodwork and labs done before the end of the month was up. Seems like I may be closer to knowing the reason behind Parker's death. From what it sounds like, it may be a clotting disorder. Which, if that is the case, she will refer me to a specialist in case we decide to get pregnant in the near future. As soon as I know more, I'll definitely do some research and share.
Speaking of getting pregnant again in the near future. Ryan and I are on a journey to conceive again. We want very much to grow our family. We want our rainbow baby!
"Rainbow Baby" is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn't mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy and hope.I have already received a visit from my aunt flow almost exactly a month after the delivery. Which actually made me happy! Some women don't get their monthly cycle again until 6-8 weeks. She stuck around longer than usual but I was okay with that because she was almost painless. Which is very unusual, but I suppose I shouldn't complain.
Oh, and according to Pink Pad, the flowers are blooming this week. DUN, DUN, DUN! I'm seeking out my fertile window this time and I've bought a couple of aids for couples who are trying to conceive. Most of the tracking that I've done in the past, as far as ovulation goes, was BBT and monitoring lady fluids. Sometimes I'd get a pain to let me know that I was ovulating but not always. To better pinpoint the most fertile day, I purchased some Target Brand ovulation predictor kits, otherwise known as OPKs. OPKs work by detecting LH (luteinizing hormones) levels in your urine. When the LH surge is detected, you can expect ovulation to occur within 36-48 hours and you should probably get to baby dancing right away if you hadn't started already!
We also picked up Pre~Seed, which is a sperm friendly lube that mimics that fertile cervical fluid around O time. I'm pretty sure it's the most that I've ever spent on a personal lubricant. It was $20! I will say, it's a pretty natural feeling lube. It definitely does make baby making fun!
Needless to say, this is my fertile week, and we shall see how everything goes. I don't want lovemaking to become routine and boring. I still want to keep the passion and love there. Perhaps
Wow, I can't believe I just shared with my audience that I am fertile this week! I'll admit, that feels a bit odd! But it's all a part of the journey!
